This Privacy Policy describes how Alarmun ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our iOS application ("App"). Alarmun is a voice-controlled alarm application that processes all data locally on your device.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location data.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymous usage data to improve our app functionality:
- App usage statistics (how often you use certain features)
- Crash reports and performance data
- Device information (iOS version, device model - for compatibility purposes)
- Anonymous analytics about feature usage (processed locally on device)
iCloud Synchronization Data
If you enable iCloud sync, the following data may be stored in your iCloud account:
- Custom phrase categories you create
- Purchase receipts for premium features
- App settings and preferences
Important: All alarm data, voice recordings, and personal settings remain stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
Purchase Information
When you make in-app purchases:
- Apple handles all payment processing and transaction data
- We receive only transaction confirmation from Apple's servers
- No payment information is stored by us
Microphone and Speech Data
With your permission, the app accesses:
- Microphone for voice commands to dismiss alarms
- Speech recognition for processing your voice input
Important: All speech processing happens locally on your device. Audio data is not sent to our servers or any third parties.
How We Use Your Information
We do not use, sell, or share your personal information for any purpose. Any data collected is used solely for:
- Providing voice-controlled alarm functionality on your device
- Processing in-app purchases through Apple's secure systems
- Improving app performance and fixing bugs (anonymous data only)
- Enabling iCloud synchronization of your custom content (optional)
No Data Usage: We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purposes. All processing happens on your device.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third parties under any circumstances. We have no access to your data and do not share it. The only exceptions are:
- Apple: Transaction data is shared with Apple solely for purchase processing through their secure systems
- Legal Requirements: Only if legally compelled by court order or government authority with proper legal process
- You: You control all your data and can delete it at any time by uninstalling the app
Zero Data Sharing: We do not share, sell, or transfer any of your personal information, voice data, or usage patterns to any third parties for any purpose whatsoever.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:
- All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
- Voice data processing occurs locally on your device
- We follow Apple's security best practices
- Regular security audits and updates
Your Rights and Data Control
You have complete control over your data and the right to:
- Access: Since we don't store your data, you have full access to it on your device
- Delete: Permanently delete all your data by uninstalling the app
- Control Permissions: Manage microphone, speech recognition, and Live Activities permissions through iOS settings
- Manage Purchases: Control in-app purchases through Apple's App Store settings
- Disable Sync: Turn off iCloud sync at any time in iOS settings
- Export: Your data stays on your device - you can access it directly
Data Sovereignty: All your data belongs to you. We provide the app service but have no access to or control over your personal information, voice data, or usage patterns.
Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
Contact Us
Data Retention
We do not retain any of your information on our servers. All data is stored locally on your device only. When you delete the app, all data is permanently removed from your device. If you use iCloud sync, your custom phrases may remain in your iCloud account until you disable sync or delete them.
Third-Party Services
Our app integrates with Apple's services, which are subject to Apple's own privacy policies:
- AlarmKit: Alarm scheduling and management handled by Apple's system services
- iCloud: Optional synchronization of your custom content through Apple's iCloud service
- Live Activities: Lock screen widgets managed by iOS system (you control permissions)
- App Store: Purchase processing handled securely by Apple
We have no access to data processed by these Apple services.
International Data Transfers
As our app operates entirely on your device with minimal server communication, there are no international data transfers of your personal information.
