These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Alarmun ("the App"), a voice-controlled alarm application developed for iOS devices. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. The App requires iOS 26.0 or later and uses Apple's AlarmKit framework.

1. Acceptance of Terms

1.1

By accessing or using Alarmun, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1.2

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

2.1

Alarmun is a voice-controlled alarm application that allows users to:

Set voice-activated alarms with custom phrases
Use speech recognition to dismiss alarms (processed locally on device)
Access premium features through in-app purchases
Choose from 142+ pre-written phrases across multiple categories
Create and manage custom phrase categories
Organize alarms by days of the week with repeat options
Use Live Activities on lock screen and Dynamic Island
Sync custom phrases across devices via iCloud (optional)
Access multiple language support for phrases

2.2

The App utilizes Apple's AlarmKit framework for reliable alarm functionality and requires iOS 26.0 or later. All voice processing occurs locally on your device. The app does not transmit audio data to external servers.

2.3

The free version is limited to 2 alarms. Premium features include unlimited alarms and access to all phrase categories.

3. Eligibility

3.1

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

3.2

The App is available only on iOS 26.0 and later versions. The app will not function on earlier iOS versions due to dependency on Apple's AlarmKit framework.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

4.2

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your device
All activities that occur under your account
Ensuring your device meets the minimum system requirements
Backing up your data regularly

4.3

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
Share your account credentials with others
Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our services

5. Privacy and Data

5.1

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. We do not have access to your personal data or voice recordings.

5.2

The App may request access to:

Microphone for voice commands (processed locally only)
Speech recognition for processing voice input (on-device only)
AlarmKit permissions for scheduling alarms
Live Activities for lock screen widgets
iCloud for optional synchronization of custom phrases

5.3

All voice processing occurs locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third parties. You control all permissions and can revoke them at any time through iOS settings.

5.4

iCloud synchronization is optional and only affects your custom phrase categories. Alarm settings remain local to each device for reliability.

6. In-App Purchases

6.1

The App offers optional premium features through in-app purchases.

6.2

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

6.3

Premium features include:

Unlimited alarm creation (free version limited to 2 alarms)
Access to all 142 phrase categories

6.4

Refund Policy: Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple. Please contact Apple Support for refund requests.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Alarmun and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the App without our express written permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

CRITICAL DISCLAIMER: The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8.1

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. The App's functionality depends entirely on Apple's AlarmKit framework and iOS system services.

8.2

WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Missed appointments, meetings, or important events
Financial losses or missed opportunities
Device malfunction, battery failure, or data loss
Third-party service interruptions (iCloud, AlarmKit, etc.)
Health or safety issues from missed alarms
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

8.3

Alarm functionality depends on numerous factors beyond our control, including device settings, battery life, system resources, Do Not Disturb mode, network connectivity, and iOS system behavior. We cannot guarantee that alarms will sound under all circumstances.

8.4

THE APP IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE and should not be relied upon for critical health or safety purposes. Consult qualified professionals for medical advice or emergency situations.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALARMUN AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9.2

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9.3

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

10. Termination

10.1

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason.

10.2

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

11. Changes to Terms

11.1

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.

11.2

Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website.

11.3

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

12.1

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the App is distributed through the App Store.

14. Severability
